OUT THE BOX MEDIA MANAGEMENT CC has been in operation since 2008. OTB is divided into two arms.The first is the media and marketing arm which trades as OTB Media Management. The second is the distribution, export and import arm which trades as OTB Distribution. Both arms of the business compliment each other. On the distribution end we focus on distributing quality South African manufactured goods to the FMCG and related industries nationally and internationally. Our management team has accumulated over 70 years experience in the FMCG, sales, marketing, product development and advertising sectors. Because of this experience we are able to deliver on our customers requirements, big or small.

Business Overview:

We work very closely with our manufacturer Chemical Solutions in identifying the need for and developing products for local and international markets. Once a product has been developed, after initial research and consultation with affiliates locally and worldwide, we identify appropriate local and international markets and take these products to the marketplace. The categories we focus on currently are eco-friendly, non-toxic repellants for snakes and a world first eco-friendly and non-toxic gecko repellant (We are currently working with our manufacturer in developing repellants for frogs, mosquitoes and bats to name but a few), self defence products like a high quality pepper spray and pepper grenade (a first in South Africa), high quality automotive range of cleaning and maintenance products that will rival and outperform the most popular brand in South Africa, superior quality DIY range of products that protect steel and aluminium; copper; cement and concrete; plaster; wood; panels & chassis; braai/barbecue and stove cleaners and a branded range of pre-teen cosmetics. Most of our products use Sasol technology, which ensures the products are ideally suited for both the local and international markets. Where possible, we strive to ensure our products are eco-friendly and non-toxic.

Product Development:

Because of our experience and constant research into understanding consumer demands/trends, we play a major role in product development from inception up to the final product. This ensures the products we distribute cater for local and international markets and can compete with the best on offer worldwide. Quality is always key with price following close behind. We encourage our manufacturing arm to utilise local content as much as possible so in this way we are in a good position to monitor the quality of inputs. Because we have access to chemical engineers we are able to produce a product where there is a demand or if there is a specific request.

Capacity:

We possess the capacity to deliver large orders to local and international markets and currently we are able to more than double production within a short notice period without affecting our operation.We have representatives provincially that are able to meet with you and accommodate your request at short notice.

Exporting:

The Snake Repel and Go Gecko products are currently exported to Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Namibia, Ghana and India to name but a few countries. Both the Snake Repel and Go Gecko have been approved by the Department of Agriculture and each product has been allocated an L number which is beneficial when exporting. There has been growing interest shown in the pepper spray and pepper grenades from police and the military both locally and internationally. We are growing the export part of our business because of the quality, effectiveness and demand for our product range.
